I have a passion for social media and I have had a passion for cooking for as long as I can remember. I recently decided to combine those two passions and create this site as well as a vlog of the same name. You can read the story of how this began here.

I am a home cook that specializes in what I call “Frontier Woman Cooking” or the more hip, “Home Fusion Cuisine” - either way, just a fun way of saying that I make really great meals with whatever ingredients I happen to have on hand. This forces me to be very improvisational when I cook - combining elements of different cooking styles and cuisines of different regions into into a single meal. I feel my way intuitively around ingredients and uncommon combinations that I *think, hope, pray* will taste good together. At its best, the result is something that transcends simply filling the gut, and is a poetic concoction that I am proud to have created, and you have a blissful experience eating.

I live with my family in South Florida and would love to figure out how I can live off my (rented) land and cook more with ingredients that come straight out of my garden. Growing my own ingredients is new to me and I am learning about how to deal with South Florida soil and yes, bugs - so for now, I make due with my potted Basil and Parsley plants.

I hope you share this journey with my little chefs and me, and maybe pick up some great recipes and cooking tips, get a little braver about experimenting and “messing up”, and laugh (hopefully not always at me) along the way.
